Florence earned the name 'The Lady With The Lamp' because she would visit injured military personnel in the middle of the night with a small lantern in her hand. 

And thanks to Florence we have the wonderful nurses we do today. Their grit, determination, caring nature and utter bravery is something we wholeheartedly are grateful for.

They put in so many hours and work tirelessly, 24/7.
